Surreal Topiary

Photographer Philippe Jarrigeon took some incredible shots of the topiary gardens at the Chateau de Marqueyssac in France for PIN-UP magazine. The area was first developed in the late 17th century by Bertrand Vernet de Marqueyssac, and was expanded in the 1860s by owner Julien de Cervel.

The gardens have over 150,000 boxwood trees cut into unusual geometric forms on 5 kilometers of walkable paths that are open to the public.
