When American artist Georgia O’Keeffe taught at West Texas State Normal College in Canyon Texas from 1916-18 she painted 51watercolours that are very different from her more familiar Jazz Age paintings. Twenty-eight of these experiments with colour are currently on display at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, Santa Fe, in an exhibition called Georgia O’Keeffe’s Far Wide Texas.
