"Sports Cars Illustrated" Covers of the 1950s

Sports cars were popular with servicemen returning home from Europe after World War II and Sports Cars Illustrated embraced the sports-car trend. Sports Cars Illustrated (now known as Car and Driver) published it's first copy in the summer of 1955, when the cover showed a beautiful Jaguar XK140 roadster. It cost 35 cents!
