Gaelic Multitasking

Scottish women carrying 30 kilos of peat and knitting at the same time on the Isle of Lewis back in 1916. Multitasking at its finest.

"isle of Lewis" is the one attached to Isle of Harris? If so, then the Gaelic women would be Scottish not Irish. Maybe you were thinking the Scottish independence vote went through?

Ah, the fairer sex, sweet delicate flowers that they are.
What they’re knitting is wool to pull over men’s eyes so they’ll carry in the groceries.
