Doll's Head Trail, Created For And Dedicated To Found Art

Not far from Atlanta, Georgia is a 125 acre urban nature preserve named Constitution Lakes Park created on the site of an abandoned 19th century brick factory. Doll parts and other debris were scattered about the site. Most people might have seen trash to be discarded but local carpenter Joel Slaton envisioned an art project created from the castoffs. He encouraged visitors to contribute their own found art, and Doll’s Head Trail is the result of his vision.  There are doll heads, of course, but also bottle creations, collages, decorated chinks of old bricks, and other objects found at the site.
