Baby bobcats make surprise visit to Calgary home

Knock knock who's there?

Bob.

Bob who?

Bobcat and I'm here to eat your kitty.

Katherine Reiffenstein of Haysboro, Alberta found a surprise on her doorstep last Friday. What started out as a mother bobcat and kitten shortly expanded to a visit from the whole family. "I was quite lucky to see them," she said."I had no idea there were wildcats in the city." The community is located between two large wildlife areas in Calgary: Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Weaselhead/Glenmore Park and it is not uncommon to see bobcats in surrounding areas.

They pose a real threat to pets but I would love to see a family of bobcats.
