The Syracuse University Lava Project

I have a good barbecue but sometimes it doesn't get as hot as I'd like. Maybe I should switch to molten lava - it reaches temperatures of at least 1300 degrees Fahrenheit and can grill steaks in seconds. The Syracuse University Lava Project video shows a team of students and geologists  cooking up a party's worth of t-bones, hot dogs, and salmon steaks in just 6 minutes —including searing one hunk of steak directly on the lava itself, for students who prefer their meat "well done."
