ReplyDeleteAnd I saw my dog. Dill the Dog, Ridgeback/German shepherd mix. I had him sing he was a tiny puppy, one of twelve, trying to climb up a chair to get to me. I chose him because he seemed the most adventurous of the bunch, but not at all agressive.
And I never regretted that choice. Like Fiona Apple's dog, he saw me through bad times and good, and taught me a lot.
So I understand absolutely what she's saying. Her dog is a person, part of her family, as much as a sister, or a child. They have to be together on this last journey, you have to keep on sharing the trust and the support, and the love, you can't just walk away, what would that make you?
