Stewart Francis, Canada’s King of the One-Liners

Stewart Francis is a Canadian comic renowned in comedy circles as the King of the One-Liners. The King added another jewel to his jester’s cap last week when one of his jokes was voted the funniest at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The winning quip concerned David and Victoria Beckham’s choice of names for their four children — Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper Seven — and it went like this: “You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks.”
